5 Ingredient Beef and Pepper Ramen Recipe - Sweetphi (2)I think I know why the ramen with an egg recipe went over so well with you guys, heck, I make it about once (ok, you got me, probably more like twice) a week: it’s super easy, quick, and suuuuuper delicious. Over 10 of you made it and sent me amazing photos and reader recreations (I’m always updating the reader recreations, so keep ’em coming!)

Even though some people might think that ramen is just a budget college food I would argue that it’s becoming super ‘hip’ and ‘trendy’! Mix it with a few other ingredients and dinner is served (while still being a super budget friendly meal!)

When I’m running short on time during the week (which is pretty much always) I love making this dish. You slice a bell pepper and start cooking it, then you’ll add in Thai sweet chili sauce (which is such a great sauce and can be found in your local grocery store or you can buy a big jar of it on amazon which is exactly what I’m going to do – because this stuff is so friggin good) and then add the beef and peppers over ramen noodles (I cook them like noodles and drain the water so that it’s not a soupy dish.) If you’re ever in need of a super quick and delicious dinner idea, this beef ramen with peppers would make an excellent choice!

We fell in love with ramen after reading about it here, it’s such a great way to make a yummy soup in no time at all. We haven’t used beef before in ramen, doesn’t it get a bit tough? Do you have any tips for that?:) We’re asking because we tried it in stir-fry and it’s almost always darn tough:)
Thank you for the yummy recipe dear! Pinned!

I’m so glad you fell in love with ramen after reading about it here, it is one of my favorite quick meals. In terms of the beef being tough, I haven’t had that problem before. I usually like to buy sandwich beef which is sliced really thin or slice the beef really thinly, hope that helps 🙂

Made this with chicken instead of beef and rice instead of ramen and it was a great flavor combo! (I also left out the ramen flavor packet and just added salt and pepper and garlic to taste). Love the sweet Thai chili sauce! Serve with extra sweet Thai chili sauce and spicy siracha sauce on the side! We ate it too fast to take a picture and post it!

Ramen is totally hip and trendy right now! I actually really hate the ramen at ramen bars tho.. there’s something about miso that I just can’t get behind, and I feel like miso is in a lot of the different broths they use. Your ramen recipe sounds awesome though and I’m sure I’d love all the flavors. Noodle-y perfection right there!

You’re spot on – I actually am not in love with ramen restaurants either – it’s always so much broth and not the best flavor combinations, so I find making it at home is sooooo much better!
