California Olives

If you’re an olive lover, this is definitely the recipe for you! Pairing olives with tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions brings together the perfect combination of flavors. Did you know that California actually produces over 95 percent of the olives grown in the entire United States?! Taking a drive through the olive groves is seriously one of my favorite things to do living in California. It smells so good! There are hundreds of families devoted to farming California Ripe Olives that have been in the business for generation after generation, and all of the olives grown in California are canned by the two olive canneries in California, both of which are multi-generational family businesses. Considering how much I LOVE to eat olives, whether on their own, in salads, or in a layered dip recipe, I’m sure thankful for their hard work!
